The story broke today that Sam Worthington, the actor who played the handicapped Marine and one of the main characters in Avatar, was arrested over the weekend on a disorderly conduct charge. According to TMZ, the actor was apprehended at a restaurant in Atlanta after getting into an argument with the staff because he didn’t have the appropriate ID to get into the club. Witnesses reported he became disorderly and pushed the bellman, who responded with pepper spray and handcuffed Worthington until police arrived. While it sounds like Worthington was definitely out of line, he’s not the first in Hollywood to throw his weight around. Interestingly enough, disorderly conduct can mean many different things, as you’ll soon find out as we take a look at some of the historic celebrity disorderly conduct incidents over the years.
