Today, we’ve got news about a documentary series based on the movie Catfish, Parker Posey guest starring on “New Girl,” the official start of production on the new season of “Arrested Development,” Dan Harmon speaking about “Community,” a new trailer for “Homeland,” and a new documentary from MTV looking back to the ’90s. Get the details on all of these projects below!

If you haven’t seen the 2010 film Catfish (above), avoid everything you can about it – including the rest of this article – and go check it out, because it’s one of the most interesting movies I’ve seen in a long time. Spoilers for the movie follow, so you’ve been warned: in the film, the big reveal is that the woman the main character thought he was talking to online was actually an entirely fictitious person created by a much older woman. MTV thought the idea was fascinating, and has found enough other people that really do this in real life to create a reality show about them that will hit the small screen this fall.

Indie darling Parker Posey is teaming up with another indie darling, Zooey Deschanel, in the season 2 premiere of “New Girl.” Posey will guest star as a “shot girl” at a party that’s held in celebration of Schmidt’s penis cast being removed. Classy!

“Arrested Development” is finally – FINALLY! – coming back to television (err, Netflix anyway), and today is the official first day of shooting on the “wow, we never thought this was going to happen” fourth season. Each of the ten episodes in this season will follow one primary cast member, with the others playing supporting roles around them.

For fans of NBC’s “Community,” the show will never be the same now that creator and showrunner Dan Harmon has been fired from his own series. Talking about some of his regrets, Harmon mentioned that if he could do it again, he would make more fun of the people who he’d never work with again, including Sony’s head of programming Kim Rozenfeld. In a season three episode, there’s an arc in which notes are written by someone named Kim (who turns out to be a guy), and a lot of the jokes of the episode make fun of the fact that Kim is a girl’s name and no one cares about his notes. Turns out that was a not-so-subtle jab at Rozenfeld’s constant notes to Harmon to change the tone of the show, many of which Harmon ignored…which resulted in him getting fired.

I stopped watching this new trailer for season 2 of “Homeland” because I haven’t caught up with the first season yet and didn’t want to ruin anything for myself, but man – I’ve never heard a single bad thing about this show. Check out the new political ad-themed preview at the link below.

MTV has a new documentary that explores the 1990s series “House of Style” and looks back on the models and music that came to prominence during the decade. The series is set to relaunch on the network this October, but in the meantime, you can glance back at Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, and more in this doc.
