Stay is an indie psych pop band from Barcelona.
Starting to lose control (WTR, 2005) is the first LP and two singles were extracted from this. The band keep on their influences but also have a look to late-60’s american sound and vocals work from bands like CSN&Y or The Byrds. Good reviews permitted the band to play in important national festivals like Primavera Sound 06, Bilborrok or on the TV program Conciertos de RNE3. Things you cannot see (WTR, 2007) is the second album and follows the path of the first one but with a more authentic sound, more warm, that experiments with the psychedelia and the Spencer Davis-like soul. As a result, hammonds, sitar, theremin, farfisa keyboard and moogs hold a work full of pop, soul, garage and a delicious psychedelic freak-beat. The last album 'Passport to Freedom'(Subterfuge 2010), which was recorded in Barcelona between June and October 09, included vocals collaboration by Daniel Wylie (exCosmic Rough Riders) and Jero Romero (The Sunday Drivers). Stay opened for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in Madrid in 2011. Now, we are now releasing a new LP ( september 2012) : The Fourth Dimension'(Subterfuge), recorded in Liverpool by the producer Fran Ashcroft (Abbey Road, Damon Albarn). The new deluxe edition ( february 2013) of the 'The Fourth Dimension' includes the madchesterian remix of the first track (The Change Is Coming) by DjGato!, and the bonus track Change is Here. This is our reason to live.Contact: staysongs@yahoo.es
