Hey y'all, it is definitely past due for a slew of things including some updates / news. We are settled into Seattle life indefinitely and are finally finding the time to get deep into the writing process. As of now, we're aiming for the release of our next full-length for spring / early summer of 2010 on 20 Buck Spin. We apologize for there not being any new material sooner, but there has been a plague of personal woes and experiences in the last year that kept us from being able to move forward in the right way. We are planning to tour the U.S. in the Spring of '10 and are talking of an overseas tour for late Summer 2010. We will have more information on that in the near future...
Hello y'all. Hope all is well. Here is a list of links you can either copy and paste or click to read some reviews on our album, "Life's Trade." We are stoked to have the album be so well received. Thanks!!!
There are also a few write-ups at allthatisheavy.com whom still have black vinyl if interested. Likewise, you can still order both formats thru 20 Buck Spin Records.
Here y'all go...
Samothrace is relocating to Seattle, WA in April 2009. We have long been in discussion of a move to the Northwest and the time hath come. We have many close friends from Oklahoma, Kansas, and everywhere else up there so it seems a natural next step. What does this mean for Samothrace. Well, we'll be playing less shows in Kansas and it will also take us longer for us to get to the Eastcoast. Watch out for some new material/releases in 2009. Also, we are currently planning a very late May Westcoast mini-tour. More extensive tours later in the year. Promise. Thanks for the support, friends, Samothrace
Hello y'all, we are stoked, and a little intimidated, to say we have;
1) been featured as an Upfront Profile in the December issue of Decibel Magazine. Hell, we even got our name on the cover. Go to decibelmagazine.com
2) We made it onto Decibel's Top 40 Albums of 2008. Number 30. It's in the January 2009 issue that is just now becoming available at shops. "Life's Trade" was also reviewed in this issue and recieved a 9/10. Have a look if you're interested.
3) We are also featured in the current issue of Hails and Horns magazine.
Haven't seen it yet, but we heard it does exist!
Upcomming reviews/write-ups in Metal Maniacs, Terrorizer, and Skyscraper. More TBA.
Thanks so fucking much for all the support!!!
