Latin rock band Restos was formed by the end of 1996 after a group called Rest in Peace broke up, causing guitarist Rafael Chávez and bass player Efrén Jiménez to create a new project.
After they were joined by drummer Marco Medina, they named the act Restos, and an EP called Enero was recorded in February of 1998, released by Producciones Palida. A second EP, this time produced by Extinción Cerebral's guitarist José Casillas, was issued in March of 1999. ~ Drago Bonacich
