Bogota, Colombia Living in New York City, he is active as a teacher performer and composer. Studied Classical Guitar in Bogotá Colombia at the National Conservatory of Music with Ramiro Isaza and Colombian music at the Bogotá academy of Arts with Jorge Sossa and Nestor Lambuley, complementing his Guitar studies in Bogota with ramiro Isaza. In the year 2000 was awarded a merit Scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music were he studied Classical guitar with David Leisner , composition with Dr. Reiko Fueting and Dr. J.Mark Stambaugh and Orchestral conducting with Paul Brantley and David Geber Nilko Andreas has performed for guitar greats such as Manuel Barrueco, Eliot Fisk, Sharon Isbin, Roland Dyens, Ricardo Cobo, David Russel, and David Starobin among others. .... In the year 2005 Nilko Andreas was awarded the “Colombia Exterior Award” given to Colombians who have distinguished themselves outside of their native country. 2007 the Excellence award given by the city of NY for his contribution to the Arts 2008 The Artist International Award 2009 The "Premio Arte" In Manhattan As a winner of the Artist Internatinal Competition Nilko Andreas had his Carnegie Hall Solo debut on april 26 2009. to a Full House and Standing Ovation. h ....
