MAWANA Slim Musicien chanteur, auteur, compositeur d'Afrobeat-Reggae/World, militant acharné du Pan-africanisme. Il est inspiré par des Artistes comme Fela Kuti, P.Akendengue, Manu Dibango, Bob Marley, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Miles Davis et bcp d'autres. Le lauréat du 1er prix de la CHANSON MAHORAISE et des COMORES MUSIC AWARDS (édition 2008), distille une musique aux influences diverses mêlant: Afrobeat, Reggae/World et Fusion Afro-Jazz; en gros un World-Roots-Music énergique. En 2001 il sort l'album « WOZA MOYA » en 2005 « WAR FOR OIL »; album tant attendu dénonçant la guerre, le racisme et l'appauvrissement de l'Afrique par les grandes puissances Occidentales. En 2011 sort « L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE » en réponse à l'occupation illégale et à la départementalisation de Mayotte, album pour l'unité Comorienne mais aussi et surtout dédié à Muongosi Raïs Ali Soilihi Père de la révolution Comorienne et Héro national. -------------------------------------------------------- MAWANA Slim Musician singer, composer-songwriter of Afrobeat Reggae/World, he is also a passionate and activist for the Pan-Africanism.
