Argentinean Latin rock band los Argonautas was formed in 1992 by singer and guitarist Gabriel Borgna, guitarist Adrián Cano, drummer Alejandro Armendáriz, and bassist Daniel Casale.
By the end of 1993, the band started recording its first album, produced by Braulio D'Aguirre, self-titled, and released independently in 1995. Two years later, los Argonautas were one of the finalist bands at Buenos Aires' Second Biennial of Art. In September of 1997, Caballo de Troya was released under an independent label called Mescalito Records, getting the hit single "Noticias." In 1999, los Argonautas signed up to BMG to get their music distributed in the U.S. A year later, a compilation called Testigos was released. ~ Drago Bonacich
