.. Julia is a NYC based musician and songwriter who likes rooftops and cornfields and all the people in between. Her distinct sound comes from a wide range of influences - Bob Dylan, Ani Difranco, Elliot Smith, Mirah, Conor Oberst, Cat Power, The Be Good Tanyas, Bon Iver, and Iron and Wine. She juxtaposes urban imagery with vivid metaphors of the natural world and while many of her songs about relationships are deeply personal, they also express universal emotion through a dynamic combination of percussive guitar melodies, poetic lyrics, and a raw voice. .. .. She writes, works, and breathes in NYC but plays up and down the eAsT cOaSt - Williamsburg and downtown Manhattan venues include thE KNITTING FACTORY (headlining act), ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL, THE BITTER END, PETE'S CANDY STORE, & MOREEEEEEEEE.
