..Intelligent sound refers to the defenition of music by frenchborn American composer Edgar Varèse, who's composing was based on complex theoretical princples, which broke down the distinctions between noise and music, dissonance and consonance....... Christiaan de Jong (me...) invites musicians from the field of live electronics.. or plays programmes involving electronic playback, makes electronc playbacks for or with the sound of other musicians or a combination of all. Although avantgarde, there is no ..fear of using material from composers from the past like J. Dowland, G.F. Telemann, J.P. Sweelinck, W.A. Mozart, E. Varese or O. Messiaen. In one moment you hear a strange kind of baroque ensemble, in the next japanese shakuhishi flutesounds, mongolian singing, hiphop, african rythms, blues, extreme noise, ambient, nature, flamenco, a poetry recital,.... ........ ......Colaborations so far: .. ......Riccardo Massari Spiritini...., turntables and live electronic manupilation and ..Franck Vigroux,.. turntables. ...... ....The Intelligent Sound Ensemble has played concerts with ..Wiek Hijmans..
