Humalien is the world's first 100% true and pure VGDM (Video Game Death Metal) band, which is a mixture between VGM & Death Metal also referred as Synth-Death Metal, or as the name Humalien (Human + Alien) says it, another synonim for this could be Hybrid Metal! Invented by Cristian T. (Demented, Misogynistic Carnage, GNLSSJ7, Impulsive Outrage & Theianism --- also former vocalist and half-lyricist of Neolythic), in Buzau city of Romania, Humalien started its existence on September 17th, 2007 and remained active until August 20th, 2010. In almost 3 years as an active project, inspired by bands such as Benediction, Six Feet UNdeR, Mortician, Dismember, Ingurgitate, Mudvayne (and so on) and music from Nintendo Entertainment System games such as Alien3, Bad Dudes, Batman, Batman 2: Return Of The Joker, Dragon Fighter, Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword Of Chaos, Ninja Gaiden 3: The Ancient Ship Of Doom, Shadow Of The Ninja, Super C, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Tournament Fighters, Werewolf: The Last Warrior and Zen: Intergalactic Ninja, as well as the Guilty Gear series and The Suffering: Prison Is Hell and The Suffering: Ties That Bind games, Humalien managed to records 5 demos, 1 full-length and 1 single, as well as other non-album tracks which are included as bonuses on the Synth-Death Metal digital discography boxset! There aren't any vocals in the band because there aren't any vocals in NES video games music and that's what makes Humalien 100% pure VGDM, but if there were any, the lyrical themes would be inspired out of Classic B&W Sci-Fi films and pseudo-science and fantasy! Fans said Humalien is "the music of the future" and critics refer to Humalien as something "the musicians who play it must be driven by some sort of masochistic creative impulse", which is a perfect truth! As an overall, Humalien is limited at the borders of VG for its electronic side and Death Metal for its aggressiveness, and can't be categorized in any of these separate genres, but these limits don't mean simplicity or monotony. Humalien uses aggressive, yet harmonic guitars, a super-boosted bass line, occasional atmospheric keyboards and technical 'realistic' drums! Humalien may not be perfect and may not satisfy every gamer's or every death metalhead's taste in music, but it deserves at least a try just because it is something new and unique !!! -
