Its been 10 years now since I first picked up my guitar and now I'm in New York, sleeping on couches, working numerous jobs, and playing every show I can get. At this point I feel I've lived enough for one lifetime, stumbling over every obstacle as it comes - whether it be family, health, or relationship trouble. I started writing music when I was 8 and I became engulfed with my writing after my father had a severe stroke and I had relationship issues. I always wrote pop, as I still do, but I became obsessed with the blues and started to practice 8 hours a day in order to become the next Stevie Ray Vaughan. The only reliable thing in my life was my guitar. The next thing I know I'm in the emergency room with severe pain in my arms – the diagnosis – tendonitis/myofacial thickening/carpel tunnel. I was told to put down the guitar and that I've reached the end of that relationship. After a year of rehab, bouts of depression, fighting with doctors, and help from above, I'm playing again. I'm still recovering, but every day I improve a tiny bit and that gives this hustle a hope.
