Company B was a freestyle/dance-pop trio put together by Miami-based producer Ish Ledesma.
Ledesma had already found pop success fronting Foxy in the '70s and Oxo in the '80s. The trio, adorned with white wigs and clad in blue leather, first made waves with the single "Fascinated," which took clubs by storm in 1986. It crossed over to the pop chart in the early months of 1987 and peaked at number 21 that June. Follow-up singles "Full Circle," "Perfect Lover," and "Jam on Me" failed to equal that mainstream success, but they were club hits. All were contained on their self-titled album, which briefly charted late that summer. A sophomore effort, Gotta Dance, followed a change in membership and elicited little response outside the club world. Two additional albums, 3 and Irrisistible (aka Goddess of Love) were issued during the '90s. Varying lineups recorded and performed into the 2010s. ~ Tom Demalon
