    .. .... .... .... ..Clio Carvalho is the daughter of the renowned Brazilian fashion designers Inez Ribeiro and Carlos Carvalho. Following her passion for music, Clio signed her first record deal with Abril, a major Brazilian label, at the tender age of sixteen. Her mature style combines her soulful voice with a soft blend of bossa nova and jazz. She was described as a "unique talent" by six time Grammy winner, Charlie Chalmers. As a performing artist, Clio sang at the Hilton, Sao Paulo as well as the posh Renaissance Hotel. She acted as the voice of a one of the three members of a nationally televised cartoon (soundtrack released on Universal Records). She was a featured singer on the top selling tribute album, Universo Feminino Internacional (Feminine Universe - International). As a composer she has written songs for Brazilian pop-rock mogul, Rick Bonadio, supplying lyrics on songs for his million selling sensation, Rouge as well as many songs for the Brazilian nationally televised soap opera, Floribella. She also co-wrote with Eric Silver (Dixie Chicks, Donna Summer) for Universal Brazil duo, Os Thomes. Clio has also written English translations of several hit songs by the legendary Brazilian artist/writer Leandro Lehart, founder of the multi platinum act, Art Popular and has worked with WB, Universal and BMG publishing companies in Brazil.
