    Carme Garrigó García (1981 Lleida, Spain). Carme started her percussion studies with professor Esteban Espinosa. She graduated on june 2005 in Catalonia’s Music School (EsMuC, Barcelona) with Miquel Bernat and George Ellie Octors. On 2007 she has obtained the diplome Excellence from CNR Perpignan (France) with professor Philippe Spiesser. On 2008 she studied Cycle de Perfeccionament, percussions in CNSMD Lyon (France) with professor Jean Geoffroy. She has attended workshops and master classes with: Keiko Abe, Steven Schick, Leigh Howard Stevens, Nicolas Martinciew, Michael Burrit, Marta Klimasara, Gordon Stout, Momoko Kamiya, Neil Grover, Klaus Tresselt, Gérard Pérotin, Daniel Ciampollini… She has been a member of the spanish youth orchestras: Joven Orquesta Nacional de España and Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya .She use to collaborate with: Orquestra Simfònica del Vallés, Orquestra Nacional Clássica d’Andorra, Orquestra de l’Acadèmia del Gran Teatre del Liceu and Banda Municipal de Barcelona. She has been guested to collaborate with: Dúo Paticumpatá (Brazil) Global Perfussion (Madrid) and Ensemble Mixtures (Barcelona). She’s member of the flamenco group La nostra essència with the shows Essència (2003) and Paisatges (2006). She has premiered solos & chamber music in Spain and France from Johannes Schöllhorn, Jean Philippe Guinlé, Jônatas Manzolli, Philippe Spiesser, Manel Rodeiro, Josep Mª Baldomà ‘Baldo’ & Laura García-Olalla. She has designed, produced and conducted three percussion shows: Perkínesis (2005, for 6 percussion players, dance & real time video), Minimal Percussion (2006, solo concert with unusual instruments & electronics), Music in Silence, Music in Sound (2007, with the contrast as a guideline). 49 Jours La Espera(nce)(2008, for one multidisciplinar percussionist) She has a duo dance-percussion with the coreographer & dancer Àfrika Martínez ( De Perfil company) with who has premiered Repercúteme (2005), Carne Acústica (2006), Corporel (2007) Re(PER)curso (2007, in collaboration with Phonos & SPECS, Pompeu Fabra’s University, Barcelona). Both have participated in the international festivals: Barcelona’s Auditorium Nous Sons (2006) , Inter-Cambio (Santiago de Chile, 2006) & Art Futura (Barcelona, 2007) Peralada Summer Festival (Girona, 2008).
