Cuchillo was formed in Barcelona 2005 by Israel Marco and Daniel Dominguez. After the praised debut album "Cuchillo" (Sinnamon, 2008), reviewed as best nacional album of the year by Go Mag and one of the best albums of the decade by Rockdelux magazine, Cuchillo starts a long tour that takes them to the United States, UK and Spain, sharing stages with bands like Radiohead, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Liars, The Black Angels, Spindrift, Carla Bozulich, Damon and Naomi, El Perro del Mar, Faust, Low, Träd Gräs och Stenar, playing in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tuscon, Portland, New York, London, Brighton. And also in festivals such as FIB, Primavera Sound, Daydream, Wintercase, Festival do Norte, Clean Air Clear Stars (L.A), CMJ Festival (NY), The Great Escape Festival (UK). At the end of the year Cuchillo gets 2nd best national live act by Rockdelux Magazine. Cuchillo recently signed with the record label Limbo Starr (Nacho Vegas) with whom they launched the new EP "Duat" (Limbo Starr, 2010), recorded in Barcelona and Los Angeles, mixed by the producer Alfonso G. Ródenas (2 Grammy nominees) and mastered by Joe Gastwirt (Neil Young, Beach Boys, Joni Mitchel, Paul McCartney...). "Duat" (Limbo Starr, 2010) has been praised by the critics and mentioned Best National Single of the year by Rockdelux Magazine. -
